How do you join our programme?
Usually you fill in an application form and send it to us. Your Connexions/Careers Advisor will be able to help with this. You can telephone for an interview if you wish or call in at either of our Centres at:

After you have applied you will receive a letter inviting you to interview. The interview will involve a short assessment to help us decide the correct programme level for you and what support you may need, and a discussion about how the programme will work.
What can we help with?
We can help you with:
- Literacy and numeracy needs
- Dyslexia
- Confidence building
- Work placements with sympathetic employers
- Job-search and Interview techniques
We have several computers in both training centres for learners to use. We use E-learning packages to help you learn and also have Internet access at supervised times. We can supply specialist equipment if you need it so be sure to tell your interviewer what your needs might be!
What other support is there?
You will have an assessor who will visit you every 4 weeks (or more if you need it) during your training programme. Your personal advisor (Connexions) may visit you at the training centre as often as you like. A careers advisor will also visit the training centre each month. If you need medical or personal care we will arrange this to suit your needs. Each centre has a nominated first aider, your work placement will also have a first-aider and somebody assigned to look after you whilst at work.
